Brother Taylor attended Lexington Baptist College. He was called to Cedar Grove Baptist Church in June of 1973. This is the only church he has served as pastor.

Rob Stanley

Associate Pastor

I am Rob Stanley, Associate Pastor at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. I met my wife, Maxine, in high school and soon after graduation were married and have been for 32 years. We have three grown children: Lee, Jonathan, and Megan; each of whom have blessed us with grandchildren, three total! I have worked for Toyota for the last 21 years. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at a young age of 5 1/2 and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Over the last 32 years, I have served in dozens of ministries but am currently a Sunday School teacher, deacon, Upward Basketball coach, and bass guitar player in our Praise Team along with my responsibilities as Associate Pastor.

I feel blessed every time I get to share the gospel from the pulpit. After 13 years at Cedar Grove, I feel blessed to serve the Lord in all these capacities. If any should asks me “How are you?” I answer without hesitation, “Happy!” You see, I truly am “Happy!” with all the blessings the Lord has provided for me, I count each day a blessing and always want to give Him praise for it! I am excited to witness and to participate in all the journeys the Lord is leading Cedar Grove through! I want to encourage anyone, who does not already have a church home, to consider Cedar Grove Baptist Church. It's not just a church; it's “a family!”
