What to  Expect

Cedar Grove Baptist Church is a biblically functioning community where you will encounter truth and love in a casual setting. Over the years at CGBC, many people have experienced ways to seek and follow God and change the path of their lives.

Where to go

Our children and youth classes meet in the Student Center (brick building). Adult classes and morning worship services are in the larger building ('the Ark').

What Will Take Place On Sunday Morning

Beginning at 9:45am, we offer Sunday School classes for every age, and most every stage of life. From Nursery to Adult classes, there is something for everyone. All adult classes are held in the ARK, and all children’s classes are located in the Student Center.  Sunday School classes are the best place to make deep connections with other church members. These classes serve as a great growing place, an environment in which you can open up, develop lasting friendships, and have a great time.
Each Sunday Morning Worship Service begins at 11am and lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. There’s worship music, videos, and practical biblical preaching.

For the Kiddos on Sunday

All classes for Nursery through high school take place in the Student Center.  Nursery -5th grade will be checked in/out by a parent at the welcome desk of the Student Center.
  • There are Sunday School classes for all ages.
  • Nursery is provided during Sunday School, as well as during the 11:00 Service.

What About Sunday Night

During this season, we are not having services on Sunday Nights.

On Wednesday

We love to come together on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, as a time to refocus, fellowship, and to hear some great teaching.

  • For teens, we have an exciting student ministry!
  • For adults, we have a Men’s Class and a Women’s Class.

Who Else Will be There

There are married couples, singles, young people, older people, professionals, laborers, and stay-at-home moms who come to CGBC every week. Each has a unique life story, just like you do. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you’re welcome to come and check out what God is doing out in Stamping Ground and in Scott County.

Some Tips for your visit

  • Come As You Are! No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are always welcome.
  • What to wear. Dress casually. Most folks do. Be comfortable. From jeans to suits, dressy to casual, we just want you to come.
